Step 1 Warming up

1.Free talk

2.Enjoy the song“We like school”and learn the new word : school

3.Show the picture of our school and get them say out.

【Purpose】Make students relax and arouse their interests in talking about the

school. Strengthen their interest in studying English.

Step 2 Production

1.Introduce the background information.

Demonstration:

Show the picture of Li Ming and Jenny’s school and introduce Lucy to them. Who’s Lucy? Yes, she’s Jenny’s friend. And she’s from Canada. She comes to visit Li Ming and Jenny’s school. Jenny is introducing Lucy to Li Ming.Jenny says,

“Li Ming, this is my friend, Lucy.”What does Li Ming say? Welcome to our school!

2.Show the question and multiple choices:

watch and answer.How many places do you see?________

watch and choose.What places do they see?They see________ .

Demonstration:Let them watch the cartoon and choose. Lead the students to get the general idea of the dialogue.

Get them watch again and find out Lucy’s questions.

T: Li Ming and Jenny’s school is quite different from Lucy’s school. Lucy asks two questions. What are they? Let’s watch again and find out: What does Lucy ask?

Demonstration:

After watching the cartoon again, let students find out the two questions and write the two sentences on the blackboard. After checking the answer, lead students to get the answers: Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. It’s the lab. Then show the picture of the playground and get them to say out the sentence: That’s the playground.

【Purpose】 Lead students to know more details about the dialogue. At the same

time,lead students to learn the new words and key sentences. Write the key words and sentences on the board.

3.Retell the dialogue.
