Students sing the song “On the farm” to relax and sing this song with other animals. Three students come to the front and sing this song one by one, and all students stand up, singing with them.
Review
Show students my farm and ask some questions.
Then students will ask and answer in pairs, talk about my farm by using the sentences above.
Let’s think
Help me to think about a question: What else can I have on my dream farm? Show 5 categories of words on PPT; students will choose one category, discuss in groups and tell us the words they know.
Then the words will be presented on PPT and 2 students will be invited to the front as the little teacher to read the words.
After collecting words, 2 students will be invited to help the teacher plant some vegetables or fruits and feed some animals on the dream farm.
Let’s design
There are a picture of a farm and an envelope for each group. Inside the envelope, there are some stickers for students to stick on their dream farm.
If they want something else, they can draw on their dream farm.
They’ll try to ask and answer when sticking.
Let’s act
Nine group leaders take their dream farm to the neighbour group and share the farm with group members.
Group leaders will act as farmer and other members will be visitors or animals and make a dialogue with new groups members.
Homework
Try to change farm into supermarket, zoo or restaurant and make a new dialogue in groups with the sentences and expressions in today’s lesson.
