Step I .Review.

Show three questions and ask the students to think and answer.

What kind of words did we learn last class?

What do the linking verbs “be” include?

What kind of words come after the linking word “be”?

Ask someone to answer the questions and give the right answer.

Step II. The new Lesson.

T: Last class we learned the linking verbs “Be” and the use of these words. Except the linking verb “Be” .There are some other linking verbs to describe someone linking verbs:

Appear feel look seem smell sound taste become get go grow turn

Ask someone to translate these words and read the example sentences.

T: From these sentences, we know these linking words are usually followed by the adj. or the nouns. Do you understand?

Ss: Yes.

T: And these linking verbs have different meanings, right ? But how can we memorize these words quickly? We can divide these words into four groups.

“五个起来” look sound smell taste feel.

“六个变得” get become go grow turn fall.
