1 Show pictures of the characters from the text book and talk about names. Look at the pictures and tell the family/last names and given/first names. To learn new words “family/last name, given/ first name”. Step

Read the dialogues in Tuning In and ask students to repeat and act out. Read the dialogues after the teacher, work in pairs and act out according to the true information. To practise the sentence patterns of names. Step
3 Show national flags of six countries. Read the countries and correct the mistakes of pronunciation.
And then play a game. Match the flags with the countries and tell the nationalities. Play a game: Which flag is missing? To broaden students’ mind and arouse their interest in learning new words of countries and nationalities. Step 4 Show a table of names, countries and nationalities with some words missing. Then check the answer. Fill in the blanks with countries and nationalities. To go over some words and enrich their vocabulary.
