2. Teaching procedures:
Sharing the syllabus with students: (1 minute)
Today we will learn something about traffic rules, the meaning of some traffic signs and new grammar: superlative degree of adjective & adverb.
(1) Warming up: (1 minute)
Let’s enjoy A Children’s Rhyme: Safety First.
To use PPT to show four pictures and ask students to read the Rhyme after the tape.
(2) Talking about traffic rules: (2 minutes)
After reading the rhyme, students will be asked to find out what the traffic rules are for pedestrians in this rhyme.
To talk about some other traffic rules for pedestrians on their own.
(3) Talking about traffic signs: (3 minutes)
To use PPT to show some traffic signs and ask students to tell the meaning of those signs in English by using the sentence pattern: “we can or we cannot do sth…”
To talk about the importance of the traffic signs and traffic rules.
(4) Text reviewing (5-6 minutes)
