I use meaning based context referring to something from the students’ everyday lives and using it as a springboard to interest Ss’ in learning and elicit today’s topic./ I encourage students to participate in my class by creating a realistic situation and using encouraging voice and body language. 1. Pre-task preparations 1.Talk about different preference towards the school uniform according to the picture. I try to grab students’ attention by having them brainstorm the possible answers .To engage Ss into the topic and help them to organize their thoughts. 2. While-task procedures 1. Design a table and listen for certain information. I focus on the listening strategies .To prepare the students for listening and get them into the good habit of listening. 2. Listen to the tape and take some notes about the information in the dialogue. To capture the key information while listening. 4. Talk about the uniforms which may suit Paul and Tom. I pay attention to the guided interaction between teachers and students and students with students . I ask them to work together by and check their understanding of the context.To practise expressing their preference. 3. Post-reading 1. Design a table to mark different kinds of uniforms and talk about their ideal uniform based on the information they shared in the class. To evaluate the previous learning outcomes and enhance Ss’ speaking ability. 4. Assignment 1.Make an outline on the topic “My ideal school uniform”.

2. Be prepared to talk more in the next class.

教学反思:

这节课是《新世纪教材9AU4L1》系列研讨课:Listening and Speaking、Reading、Reading and Writing三节课当中的Listening and Speaking,目标是引导学生通过列表的方式组织自己的语言和思维,就校服的颜色、款式、面料、价格、适用场合等方面来进行讨论或评价。在小组讨论中,制定讨论标准,展开讨论,进行口语表达并最终得出结论。希望通过创设征集最美校服这一情境激发学生表达的意愿,进一步提高学生的语言表达能力和思维能力。

本课第一个环节是简洁的热身,师生口头对话交流同学们今天所穿的校服,引出本课的听说内容,接着围绕校服展开话题,师生、生生围绕校服的颜色、适用的场合、喜好等来展开日常讨论,教师引导学生归纳,讨论校服可以从这几方面进行展开。第二个环节是听,用的是书上106页的材料,目的是通过练习,引导学生运用和提高捕捉信息等听力基本技能,首先请同学们先听一遍录音,归纳对话中的四个主人公围绕校服的哪些方面进行了讨论,然后再有针对性的听,捕捉细节。第三个环节是说的环节,借助全国的一个大型“最美校服”活动,激发学生的参与热情,请同学们讨论哪个或哪些是自己心目中的最美校服,在讨论之前,请同学们发表见解,共同设计评选的标准,然后按照标准,表达自己对每套校服的好恶,通过1-5打分,选出最美校服。

本节课的教学实现了本课的设计意图,在report的环节学生们能借助列表(思维导图)进而讨论和表达,这也为他们下一步的写作课做好了铺垫。
