Class opening (3 minutes)

Greetings: Good morning. Nice to meet you. How are you? What’s this? What’s the time by it? It’s 7:00 am now. (Show the picture of the clock)What time is it?It’s time for breakfast. I had breakfast this morning. Did you have breakfast this morning?Today we’ll talk about “making breakfast”. Then write the title of this lesson on the blackboard.

Presentation (15 minutes)

??Fetching the pictures out

T: Where do we make breakfast, in the kitchen or living room? What can we see in the kitchen? (show the pictures such as the sink and so on, and then teach the new words of this lesson)?Ss: They are in the kitchen.

(Ss learn the new words of this lesson)?what do we do on the stove? Is it cold or hot in the refrigerator? What do we do in the sink?

Play a guessing game with the students. Guess what it is!?Listen to the first part of the lesson.

Toast and jams are delicious, would you like some? Then ask some students to pass them the toast and jams.

We need knives to put jam on the toast. But the knife is far, what should we say?

?Explain: pass sth. to sb. =pass sb. sth.

?T: Toast and jams can be breakfast. What else can be breakfast? What would you like for breakfast if you are hungry now? Let’s listen to what they say.

Show the pictures of Yao Ming, Jay Zhou,Jack Chen?and ask “what would you like for breakfast?”
