Students(Ss) sing a song together: Week Songs.

During this step, I deliberately adopt an extremely active and comfortable song to warm up. So that Ss can obviously totally relaxed and devoted themselves to the today new course learning. Undoubtedly ,this comfortable learning atmosphere and experience is beneficial for their study. Besides that, this song is totally related to our topic today and lay a foundation for the next step.

2.Lead-in

Lead in key sentence pattern ‘What do you to be when you grow up?’

T:Initially ,I ask students :What day is it today? What classes do you have today? Finally to lead in the key sentence patterns.

I definitely consider that the most effective way to lead in new class is through natural relevant topic. In that case ,teacher actually gives students in different levels equal opportunities to participate. What’s more ,I design myself as a creative questions to attract students attention. To be honest ,this is really helpful for instruction.

3.Presentation and Pair work

(1)Basic comprehension of the part1

Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.

1.What does he want to be when he grows up?

2.Why?

3.Can he be a teacher now?

(4)To practice the key sentence pattern:

Do you want to be a teacher? What teacher do you want to be?

What do you want to be when you grow up?

To begin with ,I deliberately design some tasks to let students have the brief understanding of the whole text .Apart from that ,I give them some more difficult tasks to cultivate their listening abilities and help them to acquire the details information of the whole text .

4.Practice and Production

(1)Make a new dialogue.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Why?

I love to…

I can …very well.
