1. T: Look at the picture, this is Liu Tao’s family. What are they doing? Where are they? Today, we’ll continue to learn Unit 6 In the kitchen.
2.Let us guess
(1)T：Next morning, what is Liu Tao doing?
Present some pictures ,ask Ss to guess according to the pictures by using the sentences patterns “Is Liu Tao …ing? ”
S1:Is Liu Tao drawing pictures?
S2: Is Liu Tao reading books?
S3:Is Liu Tao watching films?
S4:Is Liu Tao playing table tennis?
(2)T: No, Liu Tao and his friends are in Sheyang Special Education School. They are volunteers. They will do some activities to help the students .
T: Activity one : have an English lesson .
T:Mike is the teacher now. He is teaching the story time of Unit6 In the kitchen. First ,he plays a video, let us enjoy it together.
30’’ Non stop talking .Ask Ss to talk some words ,phrases, sentences about “doing housework” ,”food” ,”drinks” in 30 seconds. Who want to be the first one?
Reading time ,ask Ss to choose one way they like to read the story .They can read it by themselves; They can read it in groups；They can read it in roles.
Try to be a teacher. Present some pictures.Picture1: Mike: What is his mother doing? Ss: She is washing vegetables.
Mike: What’s his father doing? He is cooking meat with potatoes.
Can you act like a teacher ?S1:What is Liu Tao looking for in the fridge? Pick one student to answer. S2:What is in the fridge ? S3: What are they doing? How is the meat? Does Liu Tao like the tomato soup?
活动2【讲授】Step 2 Grammar time
T: Activity Two: Cook lunch .
The children are hungry now. Liu Tao and his friends want to cook nice food for them. Now ,they are cooking lunch for the children in the kitchen.
1. Let’ s learn.
(1) T: O K. Look at the picture, What’s in the fridge? We use the sentence patterns “There is ... ”、“ There are ... ” to answer the question.
(2) Look at the sentences , here are the countable nuns and these are uncountable nuns .When we use the countable and uncountable nuns ,what should we pay attention to? Look at them, what do you find? Tip: The be verb of the countable nuns is “are” and the be verb of the uncountable nuns is “is”.
(3)Now ,Liu Tao and his friends get some food from the fridge ,put the food in right basket.
Ss: There is some juice in the basket.
There are two potatoes in the basket.
There are some vegetables in the basket.
