Step1.warming up

T:boys and girls, I’m your new English Teacher. I hope you can learn happy in this class. First, please tell me who is he on screen?

Ss: superman.

T: He tries to protect the Earth. Do you want to follow him?

Ss: yes.

T: If you can collect five rings, you can call up the superman. If you can use “use… to …”, you can get one ring. If you can use “should…and should not…” you can get another ring. If you know why and how to protect the Earth, you can get one more ring. At last, if you make a proposal, I will give you one more ring. Ready?

Ss: go.

设计意图:用超人保护地球为主线,激发学生学习兴趣和学习的热情,明确本节课的学习目标。

T:first, please listen and tell me what resources do you hear?(逐个播放听力内容)

Ss: water, energy, trees, plastic.(教师粘贴图片在黑板上)

T:Where does energy come from?

Ss: it comes from coal and oil.

T: How do we use them, boys and girls?(呈现图片和句型提示)

S1: we use water to water flowers. We use water to wash clothes….

S2: we use energy to run cars, to watch TV…

S3:we use wood to make desks, to make chopsticks….

S4: we use plastic to make rules, to make plastic bags…

T: can you read these sentences and find out the rules?

Ss:(read sentence by sentence.).

S1: Sb use sth to do sth.

T: So water is useful.(板书句型在黑板上)

T:can you use “use… to…” to describe the relationship between these things?

Ss:we use water to plant trees. Wood comes from trees. We use wood to make chairs. We use chairs to sit.

T:Work in pairs ,choose one picture and find out the relationship between them.

Ss:学生汇报讨论结果。

设计意图:通过联想的方式,既能锻炼学生的想象能力,又能进一步巩固所学句型use…to….

T: but, the more we use them, the better for the Earth? If we do nothing to help, what will happen? Look .(展示地球被破坏的图片并用语言描述)
