本单元的中心话题是人类当今面对的环境问题,主要探讨了全球变暖和节约能源等方面的问题。由于人类过多使用不可再生能源,大气中二氧化碳的含量逐年增加,导致全球气温上升。通过本单元学习,帮助学生树立节约能源,保护环境的主人翁意识。

Ⅲ. Analysis of students 

1.学生经过高中阶段必修1~选修5的学习,具备了一定的阅读技能,如查找细节信息,抓住段落要点和全文大意等,在阅读速度方面也有了较大的提高,这有助于学生较好地完成这个课时的课文阅读。

2.这个单元的话题是全球变暖,这对于高二学生而言,他们的价值观人生观已经基本形成,本课通过阅读全球变暖的原因、对地球的影响以及科学家们不同的看法,让学生思考自己日常生活中该如何做来保护环境。

3.学生在这节课的学习过程中需要用到搜集分析信息策略、填补信息沟策略、归纳整理策略等。

Ⅳ.Design of teaching objectives

1. Knowledge objectives

To get the general idea of the passage and understand what can we do about global warming.

2. Ability objective

To improve students’ reading ability and the ability to fill the information gap by communicating in English.

3. Affective objectives

It is hoped that students will become more aware of environmental issues through doing this reading and develop further their sense of responsibility towards the environment.
