Learning Procedures:
Part One --- Rewriting
Read a paragraph of Einstein’s life, and try to rewrite the underlined sentences with the inversion pattern.
As a school boy, Einstein was especially fascinated by mathematics. After graduating, he took a post in an office. He was not only happy to get such an easy job, but also he was pleased to have plenty of time to think about physics.
Einstein didn’t begin to publish his thoughts until 1905.
Unfortunately, the Jewish people could hardly go on living in Germany when Hitler came to power in 1933. As a result, he had to leave Germany.
Einstein developed his theories of relativity only through a long time of research.
However, these theories were so different and new that most scientists could not believe or understand them at that time.
Einstein passed away in 1955. He left behind a wealth of ideas that form the foundation of modern physics today.
