1.Warm up

① Sing a song.

② Play a guessing game.

③Watch a video about Wang Wei’s hometown.

(设计意图：用歌曲和猜词游戏激发学生的学习兴趣；通过观看Wang Wei家乡的优美风光视频，引出本课相关话题。）

2. Preparing and talking

①Read a letter from Wang Wei to his grandfather.

②Look at some pictures of the city and talk about them.

(设计意图：以话题相关的书信为情境线，学习本课的生词，通过图片谈论城市的生活环境并引导学生思考，王伟喜欢住在哪里？为什么? 为进一步学习形容词的比较级和最高级做好铺垫。

3.Listening and understanding

① Listen to the tape and check the words you hear.

②Listen again and fill in the blanks, understand the comparative degrees of adjectives, then read it aloud.

③Students listen to 1a again and repeat.

(设计意图：通过听力，填空，朗读，跟读帮助学生熟练掌握词汇，句型，为接下去的口语输出做准备。）

Exploring and inspiring

①Compare the city and the countryside by using the sentence structure: 主语+be+形容词的比较级+than+宾语。

②Study the rules of the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives,ask the students to match the rules and the examples.

③Finish 2b and check the answers.

④Inspiration: The countryside is so beautiful and better than the city, why do so many people come to the city? Encourage the students to express their own ideas.
