Step 1: Warming up

1. Sharpshooter:

T: if you see a picture, read it loudly; if you see the balloons, choose the correct one, read and shoot it.

【设计意图】:通过游戏复习旧知,导入本节课要学的内容。

2. Let’s review.

T: Guess, who is she? What is she doing?

T: What are their dreams? What do they want to do? Why?

【设计意图】:通过复习story time, 让孩子们尝试表达What? Why? How? 复述课文的同时,为下面的学习做准备。

Step 2: Presentation

1. Look and guess

T: What is her dream?

S: She wants to be...

2. Listen and check

T: why does she want to be an astronaut?

S: because she wants to walk on the Mars. (cars--Mars)

2. Read and link

T: Sometimes we read sentences like this: stand? up. Can you read it by yourself, try to find the link words?

Ss: find the link words, then discuss with partners.

T: now, let’s check, then read together.

【设计意图】:通过自读思考,校对跟读,让孩子先自己在平板上尝试,并与同学讨论校对,再给出答案,让学生在听课时有针对性,有的放矢,加深印象。

3. Listen and match.

【设计意图】:通过巧妙的设计,把sound time与checkout time串联起来,让学生在情境中完成checkout time 中的第一版块。
