【教学过程】

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

Sing a song “what are you going to do today?” students stand up, sing the song and clap hands together.

Step 2 Leading-in

Show a picture of a park. Look at the pictures and students talk about what are you going to see? Use the sentences to answer “I’m going to see flowers, trees, grasses, birds.” To lead in the subject “What are you going to see?”

Step 3 Learn some new words

1. Show a map of China.

2. To find our hometown Guilin.

3. Students guess where is the teacher going to travel? The teacher is going to visit Beijing. The teacher is going to visit Hong Kong. To learn the first new word “visit”.

4. To learn the new word “Saturday”. What’s more, students should know the seven days of a week.

5. Show a picture of a cinema, and we can see many cartoons like Kong Fu panda, Monkey king in the cinema. They are films.

Step 4 Consolidate new words

Play a game called “golden eyes”. When the apples are falling down, look at the pictures of new words and let the students to say as quickly as possible.

Step 5 Learn the dialogue

Listen to the dialogue and choose the correct answer, the text says “what are you going to do on Saturday or on Sunday?”.
