Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Warm up

Sing a song: Fruit Song.

Make the class atmosphere more active.

Step 2: Revision.

Game1: Lucky Wheel

Review the fruit words and the sentences:

apple, pear, banana, lemon, watermelon, kiwifruit, pineapple, orange What’s this? It’s a/an…

Game2: What is missing?

Review the vegetable words:

potato, tomato, cucumber, carrot

Students can only say the words, or they can say sentences with the words in them.

Step 3: Lead in.

There is another kind of vegetable. Can you guess?

Step 4: Presentation.

1. Learn the new word “eggplant”.

2. Its plural form.

3. The sentence “Do you like eggplants?”

4. Learn the new word “green pepper”. The teaching method is the same as before.
