一、编写故事, 巧设情景

我用这节课要学习的六个简单的单词Sunday, Monday, Friday, birthday, holiday, weekday使用学生学过的句型,编写成一个简单有趣的故事。

Hello! I'm Jay. I go to school from Monday to Friday. I like weekdays. I can cook some good food for my family. I can have a picnic with my family on Sunday. Winter holiday is coming. I'm going to make a birthday party for my father. We're going to have fun.

1. When does Jay go to work?

2. What can Jay do on weekdays?

3. What can Jay do on Sunday?

4. What is Jay going to do on her father's birthday?

让学生带着这四个问题去听一遍故事。听完故事之后,让学生逐一口头回答这四个问题,并进一步熟悉这六个单词和故事的内容。教师出示单词,请学生复述故事中的每一个句子,了解学生对这六个单词和故事的掌握情况。最后让学生牢记这六个单词,并自主归纳出它们共同所包含包的相同的音素即ay字母可发/ei/的音。

利用故事的形式,把孤立的六个单词有机地联系在一起。通过听故事根据故事内容回答问题,对故事进行复述,自主归纳六个单词中所含相同的音素即遵循了语言教学的规律——听、说领先的原则,有效地扩充了教学内容和形式,也提高了学生的学习兴趣和热情。除此之外,我还鼓励学生说出所含有相同音素发音相同的单词,让学生体验成功的喜悦,从而提高学习英语的信心和兴趣。

二、化难为易,突破重难点

教学Chant时我首先把Chant设计成听力练习,让学生Listen and choose.

What day, what day, what day is it today?

Monday, Monday, it's Monday.

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday,

I play ping-pong on Monday and Tuesday.

What day, what day, what day is it today?

Wednesday, Wednesday, it's Wednesday.

Thursday,Thursday, Thursday,

I play soccer on Wednesday and Thursday.

What day, what day, what day is it today?

Friday, Friday, it's Friday.

I go running on Friday.

Weekdays, weekdays, we love all weekdays!

通过听力,学生对整个Chant有了一个初步的印象,又对相似读音的单词进行了有效的辨析。从单词、词组到句子,起到了化难为易的效果,重、难点得到了有效的突破。利用Chant的转变模式,让学生充分感受Chant韵律的美,又培养了学生的审美能力。

学生完成Chant的Listen and choose之后,我激励学生大胆地去Chant。通过这样,让学生积极参与其中,在学中娱乐,在娱乐中学,感受成功的喜悦,从而充分激起学生的学习兴趣和热情,提高其信心和学习效果。
