Hello, everyone. Would you like to listen to an English song? The song I will play is about seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. OK, Let’s listen to it together.

(设计意图:好的开始是成功的一半。几句简单的问候使学生有了语感,师生之间的相互问候缓解了紧张的气氛,缩短了彼此间的距离,播放英文歌曲,既活跃了课堂氛围,又可以使学生随着英文歌曲的旋律,自然进入学习状态。)

Step 2. Discuss the pictures in“ Let’s Do It! ”(抛砖引玉)(5分钟)

Teacher: Here are some pictures. Let’s see them together. What do you see in the first picture?(帮助学生回答这个问题,展示一幅草莓的图片并由此引出单词strawberry和everywhere)

Ss:It’s a strawberry field.

Teacher: What is happening in the second picture?

Ss: They’re flying a kite.

Teacher: What is happening in the third picture?

Ss: Li Ming is in a park.

Teacher: Very good. Now let’s listen to Li Ming’s e-mail and try to tick the correct picture: “What are Li Ming and his parents going to do?”

(设计意图:首先让学生感知图片,然后听录音,让学生带着任务去听,既练习了听力,提高了学习效果,同时整体感知了课文,起到课前预习的作用。)

Step 3. Reading.(研究出招)(6分钟)

T: Last week, Li Ming wrote an e-mail to Jenny, He showed Jenny spring in China. Before we read the text, who can tell us: What do you think of spring in our city?(这时,让几名同学说说在他们眼中的春天。)

T: Yes, Spring in our city is very beautiful. It means green trees, beautiful flowers and playing in the rain. Now, please read the e-mail quietly, and then answer the following questions

(1)??What is spring like in Li Ming’s city?

(2)??Where is Li Ming going with his parents?

(3)??What are they going to do there?

(4)??Where is Li Ming’s house?

2.Students should check and correct their answers in groups.

3.Discuss the questions and answers as a class.

(设计意图:默读,使学生提高了阅读理解的能力。让学生自己主动去发现问题并获取答案,锻炼了自主学习的能力和小组合作的能力,激发学生积极参与的欲望。)

Step 4. Read the lesson again and fill in the blanks.(3分钟)
