教学思路：
本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第三单元的第三课时,主要涉及动物园的介绍。在授课之前先让学生通过网络或其他媒体了解动物园的知识,同时提醒学生参观动物园需要注意什么？然后教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示以及多听多读并回答问题，了解Danny, Jenny and Brian参观动物园的情况。课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流; 回忆自己参观动物园的情景或与同学讨论他们去过动物园的场景，并让学生用英语简单介绍自己参观动物园的情况,介绍动物,保护动物。
学情分析
本课的教学对象为八年级学生,学生对各种动物都很感兴趣,在设计教学过程中,抓住学生感兴趣的话题、利用学生爱动物的特点,通过听、说,写将知识融入到活动中,并充分给予鼓励和肯定,让学生说有回报,比有收获。开放教学思想,在教学中给每个学生以重要感和成就感。

T：Boys and girls, do you know a saying like this：When the cat is away, mice will play. Who can translate it into Chinese Yes, “山中无老虎，猴子称霸王。” Where can you find them Yes, let’s go to the zoo! Then show the title “Lesson 15 The zoo is open” on the screen.
Play a guessing game

Play a guessing game. Guess the animals according the questions.
We learned about some special animals and we knew the difference between the animals and the pets. Some are gentle animal and some are fierce animal
Ask the students to introduce the zoo in class.
S1:We can see some animals in the zoo.
S2:Protect animals.
S3:The animals aren’t free.
Show the new word “zoo” and show the picture of some zoos to the students.
T: What should you do when you go to the zoo?
S4:Don’t feed animals.
