Teaching steps.
Step 1. Warming-up
Have students enjoy a video about playing music.
Step2. Learn about music.
Show students some pictures with different kinds of music, then ask students to say
out what kind of music on each picture. The teacher can give more information about
the music.
Step 3.Listening
Have students listen to a dialogue and then number the words as they hear them, and then listen to the dialogue again and answer the questions.
Step 4. Listen and read
First, listen to the dialogue and check the true sentences. At the same time, correct the wrong sentences.
Next, have students read the dialogue themselves and finish the table.
Finally, the teacher explain the uses of alternative questions, tag questions and exclamatory sentences and have students do more exercises.
Step 5. Practice
Have students work in pairs to make up a dialogue using what they have learnt in class.
Homework
Recite the dialogue and finish off the exercises.
