In this lesson, I tried to make the revision writing effectively, based on the knowledge they’ve learnt. First of all, I led in a guessing game to arouse Ss’ interests and organize a competition between them. I used the mind map to help them conclude the topic and get to know the general outline of the passage. In order to make Ss have a clear map of organizing a good composition, I list some ways and introduce some practical strategies to beautify the composition. Write a passage by themselves and be familiar with the assessment criterion by sharing in class and being a judge.
There are still some problems that needed to be improved in my class. For example, the instruction class talks are required to be simpler and clearer. While evaluating Ss’ composition, I should choose different pieces of different levels so as to give a better example for Ss. Anyway, I will continue working hard at leading Ss use proper writing strategies while thinking about organizing a better composition.
