Step 1: Greeting

Hello,how do you feel? Let’s sing a song.

Sing a song :”Finger Family”

(设计意图:随着音乐唱唱、做做,营造一个轻松愉快的课堂气氛,既复习了上节课知识又拉近了师生间的距离。)

Step 2: Revision

1.Review the family members by the song “Finger Family”.

2.Review the family members by the powerpoint.

(Read the family members together, and then ask one student to be a teacher, and others read after him or her.

(设计意图:通过英语歌曲和幻灯片回忆关于家庭成员的单词,很形象、很直接,可以很快调动起学生的积极性,活跃课堂气氛。)

Step 3: Presentation

单词学习:uncle, aunt, cousin, black, thin, white

(1)T: Now, look! This is a small family. This is an uncle.

Write uncle on the blackboard.Teach them how to read and use the word(an uncle). Then ask them a question: What colour is the uncle’s hair? Then write the sentence on the blackboard: He has black hair.

Mark the word “black”. Then teach them to read “black”.

(2)T: Now, look! This is an aunt.

Write aunt on the blackboard. Teach them how to read and use the word(an aunt). Then ask them a question: Is she thin or fat?(用手势比划出thin 和fat) Then write the sentence on the blackboard: She is thin. Mark the word “thin”. Then teach them to read “thin”,especially how to read “th”.

(3)T: Listen, we call uncle and aunt’s child “cousin”.

Write cousin on the blackboard. Teach them to read and use the word (cousins). Then ask them a question: What colour is the cousin’s hair? Then write the sentence on the blackboard: They have white hair.

Practise reading the new words in many ways.

(设计意图;使用幻灯片在设定好的情境中学习新的单词,这样生动,易于掌握,体现了语言的交际功能。)

句型学习:He/She has...... What do they look like?

(1)Explain the sentences on the blackboard.(讲板书)

Can you find the difference between the first sentence and the third sentence? First let the students say,then the teacher summarise.And then lead them to understand the meaning of “What do they look like?”(引导学生自己感悟“has”的用法,通过语境让学生自己体会“What do they look like?”的意思。)
