五、教学过程:

Step1:Warming up

1. Greeting.

2. Free talk

Do you like animals? Do you have any animals at home? For me, I have a dog, it’s white. How about you?

3. Enjoy a song《the animal sounds song》

4. Let’s listen to the sounds and say what animals they are.

5. As we know, the animals are living in the forest. Look carefully, what do you see in the forest? You can answer like this:

It’s a/ an …. It’s …and ….(tiger, elephant, bear and bird)

Look at the little bird, it’s …. (small, cute, funny…)

教学说明:1.利用动画歌曲热身,激发学生关于动物的旧知,并在歌曲的节奏中进入学习主题。2. 通过听叫声猜动物,在趣味的游戏中复习和巩固动物的单词。3. 借助森林的情景,呈现出故事的背景,创设故事的情景。同时,利用望远镜的镜头再次复习动物、颜色等单词和相关句型表达。

Step2: Presentation

1. Watch and find:

Today we will learn a story about this little bird, first, let’s watch and find: How many animals can you see? Who are they?

2. Check the answers with students.

2. Read and divide:

Let’s open your books, read the story quickly, then divide this story into two parts.

教学说明:1.通过2个步骤的帮助学生从整体上理解故事的基本人物和故事大概。2. 通过给图片分组,帮助学生理解本故事两个场景。

3. Listen and answer:

(1) Now let’s come to the first part. Look, what’s this? Oh, yes. It’s some water. Does Bobby like water? No. Let’s listen and answer: What does Bobby want to have?

(2)Yes, Bobby wants to have some bread, because he is hungry.So let’s watch and answer: Does mother have any bread?

Yes, mother has bread, because she says OK, “wait a minute”.What does it means?

4. Teach students to read the sentence “wait a minute” correctly.

教学说明:1.通过听录音,看视频让学生充分理解第一部分故事的内容。2.让学生选择意思的方法帮助学生理解“wait a minute”的意思。3. 通过机械操练让学生准确认读“wait a minute”。

5. Look and say:

But Bobby doesn’t wait. Bobby is flying away. What happens to Bobby next? Let’s come to the second part. Look, who is coming?
