2.Aims on the abilities

(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.

(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.

(1)To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

(2) To lead Ss to take care of their own things.

IV. Key-points of this lesson

(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: What’s in it?

(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

(3) To develop Ss’ interest in English.

V. Difficult points

(1) To help the Ss ask and answer the question “What’s in it?” and make sure they can use the plural nouns correctly.

(2) To enable Ss to describe things in their schoolbags in English fluently with their partners.

VI. Teaching methods and aids

In this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by ask and answer to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, reviewing words about school things and books , finishing task of ask and answer in listening, making a new dialogue of Xiao Xin and have a competition .

And in this lesson I will make use of a recorder, CAI, school things and blackboard. Students should prepare some school things.

VII. Teaching procedures

Step 1. Warm-up and preview

1. Free talk between T and Ss about things in the classroom.

2. Sing the song together: My schoolbag.

3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your English book. Show me your crayon.

4. Review the colors by asking: “What color is it ?”

Step 2. Presentation

1. Present the key words and sentence patterns: notebook,key, candy, toy and “What color is it?What’s in your schoolbag?”

(1) Show a picture of notebook and say: “Look! What’s this? It’s a notebook.” Let Ss read after teacher. Then ask: What color is it? Introduce the answer: It is ... Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. Make sure they can say it correctly.

(2) Show pictures of key, candy and toy.

T: What’s this? It’s a...

Ss: It’s a...

T: What color is it?
