2. Analysis of Students

Students are from Grade Four. They have mastered basic rules of using English. But it takes time to help students to use English correctly in the daily talk. Teacher will offer students lots of opportunities to talk and share with others.?

3. Analysis of Content

The topic of this lesson is My schoolbag. Its content is not difficult for the students to understand. But I intend to reorganize the learning material and improve students’ listening, talking and writing skills in an organized and carefully designed plot.

(1) Key Points

a. Have students master the targeted words.

b. Have students make sentences and talk about their things.

c. Have students aware of taking care of their things.

(2) Difficult Points

a. How to ask about the color of the things.

b. How to talk with each other using the sentence structures.

4. Teaching tools: recorder、tape、PPT、learning papers.

Predicted areas of difficulty:

Making a new dialogue according to the given patterns.

Teaching Procedures:

Step I: Warm up

Greeting &Free-talk. Get to know each other.

Listen and sing the Color Song.

Step II: Lead in

Show my schoolbag and lead in the topic: Guess- What’s in my schoolbag? Try to understand the key sentences What color is it? It’s… .

Try harder!

Step III: Presentation

Look and say. Learn the new words and group the students by the words candy/ notebook/ toy.

Listen and follow the new words.

Play a game to practice the words.

Help ZhangPeng to find his schoolbag.
