Step 1 warm-up.

Play a game

T:In this unit, we’ve learnt many festivals. Now let’s play a game, I’ll give you some tips and you can guess what festival it is, OK? When you see this( a ghost), clap your hands and say “trick or treat”. Are you ready?

S: Yes!

(Show some pictures or words like “turkey” and “31st October” and let students guess the festivals,the last one is “rice dumplings”0

T: What do people eat at the Dragon Boat Festival?Rice dumplings!( Teach this new phrase)

T:Do you know other festivals?(Teach “other”)

Students can name some other festivals like Easter, May Day and so on.

1.Introduction of Holi festival

T: Well done, everyone! You know many festivals and don’t forget our school’s Bilingual Festival. Let’s see the poster.(Show a poster)
