Step 1: Free talk

T:Our school will hold a sports meeting. Are you happy? Do you want to join in? You should pass 3 levels!!

Step2 presentation

1.T:Let’s pass level1. Play a guessing game. Are you ready? What is it?

2.T:Let’s make a new dialogue. A:What is your favourite sport? B:

A:Who is your favourite …… B:

3.Act out the dialogue.

Step 3: Listening

1.T: Let’s pass level2.Mr. Wu is asking his students about their favourite sports. Let’s listen to their conversation and help Mr. Wu write the correct letters in the boxes.

2.T:Iwill show you some Listening tips: Tip One: Try to read and guess the answers before listening. Tip Two: Pay attention to the key words.

3.Listen to the tape twice.

4.Check the answers.

5.T:Complete the notes according to the information on P25.

Check the answers and remind the students to pay attention to some important points.

6.T: I’m a reporter,I want to know more students about their favourite sports.

Step 4: Speak up

1.T: What do you like doing after school?

I like listening to music. I often listen to music after school. Listening to music is fun.

2.T: Let’s pass level3. Sandy and Millie are talking about what they often do after school.

Let’s listen to their conversation and answer some questions.
