Teaching tasks:

Task1: Show time

Ask students to show their report about the amazing things in the world.

T:There are so many amazing things in the world. The boy got the biggest gift, do you want a gift? You should finish the following tasks. (You should work in group , if your group answer correctly, you can get 1 point.)

设计意图:训练学生的口语表达,并导入本节课

Task2: Text revision

According to the three pictures to remind students of the text.

T:If we want to describe a thing clearly,we also say “when&who”(板书:when, where,who,what,how)

Ask students to fill in the table.

Give students one minute to be ready for retelling the text.then ask one student to show it.

设计意图:使用关键词帮助学生回顾课文,利用板书让学生了解叙述一件事的五个重要环节,为复述课文做铺垫。

Task3: Usefull expressions

Try to translate some useful phrases and sentences by themselves.

Check the answers and ask students to change the verbs into the simple past forms.

Show students some important language points, encourage students to explain them and try to give some examples.( Come to the blackboard and show ,you can get 2 points.)

Ask students to add more important language points they think.(板书补充的重要知识点)

Ask students to finish some exercises first, then check them in groups.

设计意图:从文章中找出重点短语和句型,突破本节课重点。让学生通过自己独立思考来识记重点,利于学生理解和运用。

Task4: Group work

Step1: Read it carefully!

Step2: Work in groups to make up your own questions!

Step3: Share your questions with other groups!

根据以下阅读材料设计问题

Maria lived near a forest .She often played with the animals in the forest. They were all her friends.

One day,Maria walked into the forest to play with her animal friends. But to her surprise, the forest was very quiet and the animals weren’t there! Maria hurried back to tell her parents. Her parents returned to the forest with Maria. The forest was still very quiet. But Maria’s father noticed a little monkey behind a big tree. The monkey was dying (将要死的)!They tried to save him. But the monkey was too weak. Before he died, the monkey told them the truth(真相):a ghost wanted to get the forest, so he asked all the animals to go away.

Maria and her parents were very angry. They decided to drive the ghost away. They asked their friends and neighbors to help them. The ghost was strong but the people were stronger. At last, the ghost left and the animals returned to the forest happily.

Step4: Ask and answer

Ask students to show their questions , and ask other students to answer it( If the others give the correct answers correctly, they can get 5 points; if the others cannot answer, the reporter will get 5 points)

设计意图:培养学生合作意识,利于阅读技巧设计问题,以达到提高学生阅读能力的目的。
