情景导学

Step 1 Lead-in

1.Discuss: “Do you think anyone can live well alone ?”

“Did you get others’ help or help others?”

Tell them something happened to me to let them know everyone needs help.

2.Get them to know ‘we’ll learn something about a brave young man who saved his neighbor from an accident’. Play a guessing game, let them guess what caused the accident.

Step 2 Pre-reading

Show a picture of a young man who was badly hurt, present the title and get them to predict the story. ‘What information can you get from the title? Who ?What?Where?Why?

Step 3While-reading

1.Watch a video and answer what did the young man do ?

2.Scan the story and tell if the sentence is T or F. Before scanning,let them read the sentences.

3.Get them do Part B3 to help Daniel correct five mistakes.

4.Detail reading.Read the story more carefully and find out the answers to the five questions.

5.Read and fill in the blankets.

Step 4 Post-reading

1.A reporter from a TV wants to interview Lin Tao. Get them to make up a dialogue between Lin Tao and the reporter. They can finish B2 first and follow the model.

2.Discuss ‘Fire is important for us, but if we aren’t careful with it, it can be very dangerous. What can we do to be careful with fire?” Get them to play a game “right or wrong?”

3.Discuss “What can we learn from Lin Tao? ” Helping others is helping ourselves.
