3. Tell students that John, an exchange student made a video of his hometown. Let’s enjoy the video.

Step2 Presentation

1. Pre-task 1 Look and learn.

Look at some pictures of John’s hometown, learn the new words and learn about his hometown.

2. Pre-task 2 Look and say

Look at the pictures and say the information that they have known.

3. Pre-task 3 Read John’s notes

Present John’s notes about his hometown. Read each part of the notes carefully and answer different questions.

Step3 While-task

Task 1 Watch a micro class about the way of the writing.

Read carefully and use a graphic approach to know how John describes his hometown. Guide students to read the Sample Writing of John’s script. Know the four paragraphs in John’s writing and give a direction of the students’ own writing.

Task 2 Make your notes and then write a script.

Discuss in groups of four. Guide students to think over to complete the written notes. Use expressions to write his or her hometown. Discuss in groups and exchange their ideas. Help students if they have any questions.

Task 3 Write an article about their own hometown.

1) Ask each student of a group to write a part of their hometown, then make up a complete article.

2) Finish the writing. Teacher takes some photos of their writings and show them to the whole class on the screen. Read the sample writing aloud.

3) Praise some good works. Enjoy each other’s advantages.

4) Use some pictures to arouse students’ interest. Lead them to love our hometown.

Step 4 Homework

1. Introduce your hometown to your friends.

2. Try to make a video about your hometown according to your script.

教后记:写作课教学环节设计流畅自然,恰如其分,充分展示了高效课堂的自然本色,并且课件制作精美,灵活运用多媒体,用视频导入,激发学生兴趣;教学思路清晰,各环节衔接过渡自然,教学活动丰富多彩,全程英文授课,寓教于乐。学生在写作过程中,教师循循善诱,娓娓道来;课堂富有时效性,我通过手机现场对学生的作文进行拍照,上传到媒体后,师生共同点评。对于每位同学作文中闪光点的讲解都做到面面俱到,充分调动学生的积极性。整堂课激情澎湃,教师尽可能地创设情境,并激励学生积极的学习动机、态度、兴趣,促使学生积极主动地投入到写作学习的活动中去。使学生既受到教育,又能培养运用英语进行创作活动的能力。
