3. Pre-reading: Brainstorm the new and key words:

II. While-Reading

1. First reading: for general information (skimming)

a. Choose another title for the story.

b. Find out Paragraph dividing and time line.

c. Did Timmy give up or try his best to survive when he was in danger during the earthquake?

2 .Second reading: for specific information (scanning)

1) Task one: Phrase catcher

When the earthquake came, what did Timmy feel/ hear/see/do?
