IV. Teaching procedures

Step 1 Lead-in

Show a video about the seasons and lead to the topic “seasons”

Ask the students about their favourite seasons and the reasons.

Step 2 Presentation

Show pictures of the seasons and teach the new words and phrases during the process.

Watch a video about the seasons and ask the students to try to answer four questions about it.

Ask the students to read the poem together and finish exercise B4 on Page 84 to check their understanding of the poem.

Ask the students to listen to the poem and try to feel the beauty of the poem.

Enjoy the beauty of the poem in three ways with the students

Ask the students to read the poem together and try to find the words that rhyme, then finish B1 on Page 83

the beauty of the words

Ask the students to find the words that make the poem beautiful wonderful and vivid and teach “personification” in the poem. Then ask the students to find other words that use “personification”.

Ask the students to read the poem beautifully and feel its beauty again.

Step 3 Practice

Ask the students to work in groups and try to finish the following two poems
