※Teaching process
Step 1 Lean-in
The Ss write down as many verbs as possible in thirty seconds, and then add objects.
The Ss talk about the person who performs the action and know about the active voice.
Talk about the object and lead to the passive voice.
Step2. Read and learn
The Ss read P98 and find out when to use the passive voice.
Go over some sentences they have learned before, and then get the form of the passive voice.
Practise “be + Vpp”.
Learn the passive voice in the simple present and past tense.
Practise the positive and negative sentences and questions.
Read and learn the use of “by”.
Step 3. Practise
Have a match between two groups, using their verbs and objects to make sentences.
Finish the exercises on the book.
Talk about our school charity sale, using the active voice and the passive voice.
If time is possible, work in groups to make a dialogue, tell a story or make a short play, using the passive voice.
Step 4. Homework
Finish your dialogue, story or short play.
Review the passive voice.
Finish the exercises on the Exercise Book.
