a.To enable Ss to learn some useful words and expressions about body language and non-verbal communication.

b. To help Ss to master the main points in the text and get a general understanding of the text.

2) Ability goals:

a.Develop students’ reading ability by using different reading skills.

(skimming,scanning,getting the main idea, detailed-reading,summary, etc…)

b.Make the students know more about body language and communication customs as well as cultures in different countries and areas and try to use what they’ve learned to communicate with each other.

3) Emotion goals:

a.Make the students have a better understanding of body language and non-verbal communication.

b.Encourage the students to learn and use such body language to communicate with each other through their action.

= 2 ﹨ ROMAN II .Teaching difficult points:

a. How to help the students improve their reading ability and fully understand the passage.

b. How to let the students understand the body language in different countries and use them correctly.

= 3 ﹨ ROMAN III .Teaching key points:

a.some important words and phrases in this period.

b.the general idea of the text and the different body language in different countries.

= 4 ﹨ ROMAN IV .Teaching content:

The reading and vocabulary part of module 3, student’s book 4, senior high,grade 10.

= 5 ﹨ ROMAN V .Teaching periods: this class is the first period of reading part.

Period 1: The main idea and contents of the reading.

Step1. Lead-in: A vedio clip from “Lie to Me” is used to lead in.

Step2 Exploration & Exercises

---Fast-reading: Skim the text and match the main idea with each paragraph (BDAEC).

After that, ask students to choose the best title of the text.
