The listening part is about the dinosaurs. It contains two parts. The first part is the general introduction about dinosaur, and the second part is about the reasons for their extinction. It’s an interesting topic for students to discuss. 学情分析The students are from senior 2 who have enough vocabulary to understand the listening materials. They also master many listening skills. They can express their own opinions by using the words they have learned. 教学目标1. Knowledge objectives

1). To master the new words that related to the topic, such as, dinosaur, , meteorite, extinction, volcanic eruption, evolve, fossil...

2). To know something about dinosaurs and the reasons for their extinction.

2. Ability objectives

1). To learn to use the listening skills, such as numbers, key words and transitional words.

2). To say how to protect endangered animals by discussing with the students around them.

3. Emotion objectives

1). To realize it’s our duty to protect endangered animals.

Lead inShow some pictures on the screen and introduce dinosaur to the students by telling a sad story. Meanwhile, help students to learn some new words which will be used in the listening part.1. To catch the students’ attention quickly and rise their interest.

2. To help students master the new words easier.Step2 VocabularyGibe students a chart about the new words, and lead them to read and remember them.

Check the students memory. Ask them pay attention to the screen, and tell me the correct words or Chinese meaning.

Play a game. Ask students to click the correct pairs.To help students to consolidate the new words.

Pre-listeningMake a survey

Show four questions about some information of dinosaurs, and ask them to discuss with their desk mates. Then collect the statistics.
