二、教学目标分析

三、学习者特征分析

高二学生具备一定的词汇量和语法知识，因此在阅读过程中没有太大困难。在教学中要有意识地培养他们听、说、读等综合运用语言知识的能力。本班学生勤奋好学，学习主动性强，课堂活跃。通过教师引导运用本课重点词汇表述主人公的工作特点，并培养他们乐于奉献的精神。

四、教学重点与难点

教学重点 1. Master useful words and expressions;

2. Enable to make a description of the importance of Timoteo

Apaza’job as a human traffic signal

教学难点 Learn to look for key words and phrases; Enable to understand the importance of Timoteo Apaza’s job as a human traffic signal.

五、教学过程

活动1 Lead---in

Play a video about jobs and talk about them to lead in the new lesson.

设计意图 通过使用视频资料展示并谈论一些工作，使他们对工作有一定了解。同时吸引学生注意力，激发他们的学习兴趣，并引出本课主题

活动2 Listening

Play the tape of the text for the students and ask them to match the headings with the paragraphs as well as pay attention to pronunciation and intonation.

设计意图 通过听课文搭配段落与标题，使学生能纠正自己的错误读音，注意语调并初步了解段落大意。

活动3 Fast-reading

Ask the students to go through the whole text and then finish reading comprehension exercise.

After that, check the answers.

设计意图 通过这一练习，让学生初步了解本课的大致内容，通过做练习检验成果

活动4 Careful reading

Ask the students to read the whole text carefully.
