教学过程:

Step I: lead-in

1. Before the class, ask students to enjoy some pictures of the great sports personality.

2. At the beginning of this class, ask a question:

Before our class, we have enjoyed a beautiful song and some great pictures. Do you know the people that were showed in theses pictures?

(学生活动:欣赏图片、音乐,听教师提出的问题并回答。)

设计意图:首先课前通过欣赏动感音乐和著名运动员的图片,调动起学生的兴趣。接着,上课一开始就通过头脑风暴、小组竞争抢答的形式(抢答和本课题--The Great Sports Personality的相关词汇),调动起学生学习的热情和积极性。最后将学生们说出的和本单元本话题相关的词汇分类展示--阅读词汇(识记词汇)、写作词汇(重点词汇),使学生对本话题词汇的侧重点有了初步的认识。让学生通过图片的欣赏和视频的观看及小组抢答题目的完成,进而以直接呈现的方式切入本节课。此环节中希望让学生在欢笑中进入学习中,激发学生的兴趣。
