3. To learn how to use different sentence types correctly to write an ad.

Learning procedures:

Step 1 Lead-in

Have the students enjoy the video and ask the students the following questions:

What is the video about?

Are they attractive?

What attracts you most when seeing these advertisements?

(colorful pictures, persuasive language, spokesperson, creativity)

Step 2 Learning more about the product

1. Suppose you are a marketing assistant in the Candy Company. And the director of the company is making an announcement at a meeting. Listen to the announcement and complete the bar chart.

2. Ask one student to present the answers on the screen and describe the trend in the bar chart.

Step 3 Interview a customer for opinions

1. As the manager of your company, conduct an interview with your partner, a customer of your company for opinions of the product.

2. Show the students some proposed interview questions and ask them to think of one more question to ask their partner.

1) Do you like eating chocolate bars? What aspect (方面) attracts you most when choosing chocolate bars?

2) Will you choose our product? Why or why not?
