Step1 Lead in
Show some classic pictures about the Olympic Games to the students and give them some questions to excite their interest in the text
Step2 Presentation
Listening: play the tape of the text to the students and let them do C1
Reading for structures: ask the students to skim the text and divide the whole passage into several parts and get the main idea of each part
Careful reading: Let the students scan the text again to the detailed information and fill in the forms in C2
Step3.Language points
Teach the text paragraph by paragraph to deal with the language points involved in it
Step4. Consolidation
Conclude the whole class and give the comments
