《Project(1): Giving an oral report》新课标教案优质课下载

Thoughts on the design:

In this class, students will read the passage Teenagers’ friendships. And then, each of them is asked to give an oral report about friendships by finishing a questionnaire of friendships. By giving an oral reports,students are required to know about the basic form of a report.

Teaching objectives:

After learning project, the students will be able to

have a deep and clear understanding of different attitudes of boys and girls towards friendship

know the structure of a report

know how to give an oral report

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead in

Ask some questions about friends.

Boys and girls, in this unit, we will go on to talk about friends and friendship.

John(a boy ), do you have a good friend?

What’s the meaning of friendship to you?

Jenny(a girl), how about you?

(After answering the questions.) T: So from their answers, we can find that boys and girls do have differences on the topic of “friends and friendships”.Some has conducted a survey and written a report on this topic. Let’s read it at first and then you are asked to give your own report about friendships.

Step 2 Reading

Four minutes for students to read the passage and get the main idea of each paragraph

T: Open your books to p18. First of all, please number the paragraphs. Altogether there are 5 paragraphs.

Para.1 Using the example of Robert and Amanda to show different friendships between boys and girls.

Para. 2 Boys and girls have different attitudes towards friendship.

Para.3-4 Many studies worldwide show that girls have more friendships than boys.

Para. 5 Conclusion——the similarities in the qualities to be a friend.

Play the tape for students to listen to and ask them to pay attention to details of each topic.

Ask students to read the passage carefully ,analyse paragraphs one by one.

Para 1 T: Now ,read para.1 carefully and let’s act para 1 out.
