Q: A girl asks me out. She is nice but I think we have nothing in common. What would I tell her?● Introduce the topic of honesty.

● Inspire students to have a discussion about whether they have to be honest or dishonest. Step II: Open the floor for discussion

Task 1: Have students share information among their groups about what honesty means to them.

Task 2: Have students list some dishonest phenomena in their daily life and their opinions & solutions.● Help students get much relevant information about honesty.

● Arouse students’ awareness of some dishonest phenomena existing in our daily lives.

● Help students form a right sense of honesty.

Step III: Carry out a debate on honesty

Have students work in groups for a debate with the topic “Is honesty a best policy?”Improve students’ ability to process the information and practice their oral English. Step IV: Summary

Task 1: Discuss how to be an honest man by decorating the tree of “HONESTY”.

Task 2: Q: As a modern and qualified student, what other qualities should you have besides being honest?Enhance students’ understanding on the importance of being honest and help them further understanding the concept of core socialist values.

教学反思:

本节课是一节以“社会主义核心价值观”之“诚信”为话题的听说课。整节课围绕诚信是什么、生活学习中存在的不诚信现象,以及通过对“诚信是否是最佳策略”这一辩题的讨论,引导学生对“如何做一名诚实守信的人”做进一步探讨,并总结作为一名有素养的学生,除了要具备“诚信”这一品质,还要拥有“文明”、“爱国”等价值观。纵观整节课,基本完成了设定的教学目标及具体任务,学生有话可谈,有感可发,参与度较高。就“诚实是否是最佳策略”这一辩题,学生给出不同看法,并以辩论的形式深入探讨,体现了较高的思辨能力。

不足之处:一、在学法指导上及教师的指令性语言上有所欠缺,有时学生想参与,但并未达到预期的教学效果;二、整个课堂,应该给学生更多的空间参与、展示,未能充分体现以学生为主;三、话题讨论可再深入一些,上升到国家层面,诚信对于一个国家的重要性。
