1. 教学价值

本节课通过赏读《奇迹男孩》节选，训练了学生的英语阅读理解技能，帮助学生树立英语原著阅读信心，加深学生对校园欺凌的见解，向学生传递了真善美的价值观。

2. 重点与难点

教学重点在于帮助学生分析主人公奥古斯特的性格及成长，其他人物对奥古斯特的态度及转变，明白校园欺凌的特点及应对态度。难点在于帮助学生从不同角度深层理解标题Wonder的含义。

3. 教学的审美体现

本节课的阅读材料文字表达美，故事体现人与人之间的真情，向学生传递善良的美好品质。教学围绕文本展开，环节明白晓畅，活泼自然。教学课件以设计精良，颜色明快，排版简约，视觉效果美。

二、学情分析

授课班级为南菁高中高二文科强化班，学生具备较高的英语阅读理解能力，有较高的文学作品阅读素养。本节课侧重对文本深层次的理解剖析，旨在培养学生的批判性思维和阅读共情能力。

三、教学目标

四、教学设计

Step 1 Lead in

Teacher asks students to talk about their feelings on the first day of high school, and introduce the book Wonder and the author.

Step 2 Understand the main character

Students scan Excerpt One quickly and answer questions regarding August's feelings, appearance and personality.

Step 3 Explore the other characters' attitudes to August

Students discuss the other characters' attitudes to August and find the supporting information, and then dip into the meaning and expression of ambiguous verbal bullying.

Step 4 Understand the plot of Excerpt Two

Students put the events of the plot in order and then focus on understanding the fight and the meaning of winning in the case of obvious verbal and behavioral bullying.

Step 5 Look into character development and draw moral lessons and summarize the theme

Students discuss August's and his classmates' changes and draw moral lessons from different characters, from which to sum up the theme.

Step 6 Share the significance of reading literature

Step 7 Talk about the features of modern bestsellers and make some recommendations.
