1 The origin of English tea and the function of coffee and coffee house.
2 Compare Chinese tea and English tea in a proper way.
教学过程：
Step1 Warming up
1 Persuade students to say something about Chinese tea.
2 Try to say something about English tea.
Step2 Reading
1 Ask students to go through the passage and answer the following questions:
Why did the Duchess of Bedford invite friends to come for tea in the afternoon?
Why was English tea important?
What does “Will you come for coffee?” mean?
...
Step3 Let’s compare.
1 All students enjoy a short video about English tea.
2 Students work in groups to make a comparison between Chinese tea and English tea. In the process,they can refer to the extra material.They will be given 8 minutes.
Then one student will present their answers.

教学反思：
Before learning the class, I invited students to take part in a short party about tea, in which they not only learned some knowledge about tea, but also had a taste of English tea and Chinese tea. So in the class, it is not difficult for students to learn the passage. Therefore what I payed more attention was the discussion. During discussion of comparing, they managed to get more information about Chinese tea and tried to express in English. However, they were too shy to perform in a proper way. What they need is more encouragement.
If time permits, I should have students make a poster which introduces English tea and Chinese tea. In this way ,they will be more impressed of the content.
