北师大2003课标版《Lesson 4 Let’s Dance》最新教案优质课下载

to pick up suitable sentences for gaps in a text by using appropriate reading strategies ,

to use the words and phrases in this period to talk about and describe some dances.

Import points in the teaching and learning:

to learn some news words and expressions on dances,

to learn about the common dances in the text,

to learn to talk about and describe common dances in daily life .

Difficult points in the teaching and learning:

to get students to match the missing sentences with the gaps in the text by using correct reading strategies.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Revision

Briefly review what we have learned in Lesson 3: the content of the text and the grammar on adverbial clauses of result, cause, and purpose.

To do that, get students to identify some adverbial clauses.

This morning we are having an English class here because some other teachers are visiting our class to do some teaching and research work.

We study hard today so that we can serve our country better tomorrow.

c) You study English so hard that you have made such rapid progress that you can talk in English in class.

To review the text, put forward the following questions:

What is Kong Xiangdong famous for?

Why did he experiment with Chinese folk music?

Why did he shave off his hair ?

Step 2 Lead-in

Induct students into the topic of dances by asking them a few questions: What is the use of music? For entertainment, to relax ourselves, and what else?

If they can’t say to dance to, then play a video for them to watch. Dance. They are dancing to the music.

Now let’s listen to some pieces of music for us to identify to match them with the dances in the box in Ex 1.

Step 3 Pre-reading -------to introduce the main new words and the topic as well

Ask students the following question: How much do you know about different dances in the world? Students may shake their head and say not much or just a little. Then put forward the next question: If we want to know more , what can we do ? To ask other students , to ask our teachers , to go to the library to look for the books on them, to serf the Internet , to read a special book which can give us specific information on dances---百科全书 encyclopedia (to introduce this new word, get students to read after me to learn this new word.)
