一、教学内容分析

本课通过探讨地球生命的起源，让学生了解相关的天文知识，培养学生对科学的兴趣、激发学生探究科学的热情的同时，反思人类活动对地球的影响，进而增强保护地球的意识。

二、教学目标

?1. Knowledge aims:

Master the important words and sentences patterns of this unit through this period:come into being，spread, explode, harmful, etc.?

2. Ability aims:

(1) Develop the students’ reading ability , including skimming, scanning, and summarizing skills)

Enable the Ss to have the ability to use what they’ve learnt to write a passage

about how the earth come into being.?

3. Emotional aims:

Increase the Ss’ awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.?

Task-based method, brainstorming, skimming, scanning, competition, discussion,group work, etc.

三、学习者特征分析

高一的学生活泼好动，求知欲强，对人类起源充满好奇，愿意参与到课堂学习中。本课时涉及的教学内容与科普阅读有关，而且出现大量的生词，这对学生阅读能力是一个考验。所以在备课和课堂教学中需要把复杂的此类教学内容简化，做好篇章的分析指导，使学生更好地理解了课文，清晰了解课文脉络。

四、教学策略选择与设计

?本单元以地球以及地球生命的起源为话题，让学生了解相关的天文学知识，培养学生对科学的兴趣，激发学生探究科学的热情。本课时设计将Warming up，Pre-reading，Reading和Comprehending四部分结合，整合成一个完整的阅读课教学。通过本课时的教学使学生对本单元的话题和主要内容有基本了解，以利于开展后续教学活动。

同时通过文章中的一些探究性问题，如：The earth may become too hot for the lives on it. Then what will our future be? 以及设计问题：Do you think there’s a chance to find intelligent beings(Alien/ET) on other planet(s) in the universe? Can we find them or can they find us? 等引发学生的热烈讨论，从而激发学生对天文学的了解和探究兴趣。
