Teaching Procedure:

Step1. Warming up

1. Ask a question “Have you ever been under the sea?”

2. Let students watch a video and experience the marine life.

3. Let students think and talk about some places or ways they could see those sea animals and plants.

at an aquarium / in the tunnel under the sea / on TV programmes / in films and books / on the Internet / on a boat trip / on a snorkelling trip……

4. Tell students we are on a snorkelling trip under the sea and will come across a great variety of marine animals and plants:dolphin,turtle,eel,octopus,squid,butterfly fish,kelp,sea star,angel fish,clown fish/anemone fish,parrotfish,sea flower/anemone,sea-slug,clam,coral,jellyfish,seahorse,shark,etc.

5. Discussion: Let students work in groups of four and make a list of plants and animals that live under the sea according to the given titles. They’d better tell other students about their personal experience.

6. Call two groups out to report to the class and share their personal experience.
