Teaching procedures:

Step one: Warming up

1. A short video to lead into the topic

2. Some pictures of scenic spots in Beijing.

Step two: Reading

1. Give the students a situation: Imagine your American penfriend is going to spend his four-day holiday in Beijing, and he wants you to make an arrangement for his travel.

Then ask them: What expressions might be used in your arrangement?

2. Let the students go through the text quickly and find the useful expressions of describing a tour to Peru.

3. Talk about the four scenic spots in Beijing with the students briefly.

Step three: Discussion

1. Group work: Let the students match the expressions with the scenic spot, and discuss with the partners.

2. Ask some of them share their description.

Step four: Writing

Let the students finish the writing, and check the article by themselves.
