People’s Education Press课时安排:The 3rd period一、教学内容分析The main topic of this unit is about travelling abroad and travelling study while this class is the third period - grammar part. It is about the non-restrictive attributive clause which is a focus of the college entrance examination. So we had to learn it well. Since we revised the restrictive attributive clause in Unit 4, this class will not be very difficult for the Ss. In this class, Students will understand the grammar points clearly and use them in daily life.

二、学情分析This is a key chemistry class. And most of the students are boys who aren’t good

at English. They think grammar learning is abstract and difficult. However, their overall qualities are not bad. They have the specific motivation to learn English and proactive learning attitude. What’s more, they are willing to cooperate with each other and finish their learning tasks together.

According to the new Curriculum Criteria, I decide to adopt Task-based Learning (TBL). The students will be given tasks to analyze and summarize the usage of the non-restrictive attributive clause.

三、教学目标Knowledge aims:

Enable the Ss to revise the non-restrictive attributive clause

Ability aims:

Help the Ss to learn how to use the non-restrictive attributive clause properly in practical situations

Emotional aims:

Educate the Ss to be interested in the grammar

Play the English song --- Red River Valley and ask the Ss to fill in the blanks with proper words.?(supported by the multi-media)

“Do you like music?”

“Can you fill in the missing words?”

“Do you know what these sentences are called ?”

The students will be interested in grammar learning and lead into the non - restrictive attributive clause. One student speaks out the missing words.

To attract the students’ attention quickly, and bring out the topic of this class

Step2 Learning and discussing (11mins)

1.Ask the Ss to learn the grammar - the non-restrictive Attributive Clause independently on P59 in Canpoint.(Read aloud the material for 3mins)

2.Ask the Ss to discuss in groups and analyze the following sentence structures. (8mins)
