Step1: 语境呈现

利用准备放三天假期为契机导入。展示过去分词做状语的句子Informed that we will have three days off, I was too excited to have a good sleep!提出关于假期出行计划的问题以激起学生热情。

Step2:讨论探究

呈现8个使用过去分词做状语的例句,用彩色分别标示过去分词及主语,提出需要解决的问题,要求学生在小组里交流、讨论,发现句子的共同之处,探究句子的语法功能。

1.Caught in a heavy rain, he was all wet.

2.Grown in rich soil, these seeds can grow fast.

3.The trainer appeared, followed by six little dogs.

4.Translated into English, the sentence was found to have an entirely different word order.

5. Though beaten by the opposite team, the players didn’t lose heart.

6. When heated, ice can be changed into water.

7. She sat by the window, lost in thought.

8. Absorbed in his study, he didn’t hear the sound.

Step3:归纳总结

1.引导学生总结以下要点:

(1)以上句子的共同之处是都使用了____分词短语做_____,它们的动作与句子主语之间存在_______ (主动/被动) 关系。

(2)由例5、6我们可以知道过去分词做状语,有时可以在分词短语前加上__词,比如_____________等。

(3)由例7、8我们可以知道,过去分词短语做状语时不表动作而表____。这样的过去分词(短语)常见的有: lost in thought, absorbed in, seated ,dressed in, tired of , satisfied with等。

2.在总结要点时引导学生发现句子结构,教学生在学习时该如何判断应该使用过去分词做状语。

3.通过更多的例子强化学生的知识。
