Step 2 让学生分析好的戏剧性故事的要素(A good dramatic story is just like a good movie. There are pictures ,sounds and smells in it)

Step3 引导学生如何写好戏剧性故事的开头

首先,介绍一些当代小说如《无声告白》的开头(Lydia?is?dead.?But?they don’t know this yet. )以及一些经典小说比如《傲慢与偏见》的开头(It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. )让学生自己总结好的开头需具备哪些要素。

然后,给学生展示一张2016叙事性摄影获奖图片以及一张他们自己的生活照,让他们让根据提示,展开想象,补充上适当的形容词,副词,完成故事的开头。

Step 4 引导学生如何写好戏剧性故事的结尾

首先,给学生展示四本经典名著以及四个经典结尾,让学生进行匹配,并体会好的结尾的特点

然后 给学生展示一张刘老师在海边的照片,给出三种结尾让学生判断哪种结尾更能在读者心中留下深刻的印象。

接着,向学生展示上海高考看图作文题,让学生根据图片纂写一个好的故事的结尾。

Step5 引导学生如何安排一个好的故事情节。

根据图片,提供三个版本的故事,让学生自主选择哪个版本的故事情节最吸引人。

Version 1:Once, there was a young girl . To celebrate the coming of Christmas , she cut her hair. Her husband liked her new hairstyle very much and they had a sweet Christmas .

Version 2: Once, there was a young girl who sold her most important possession--her hair to buy her husband a gift for Christmas , but she burst into tears when she unwrapped the gift given by her husband. It’s a beautiful comb.

Version 3 : Della wants to buy Jim, her husband ,a gift for Christmas , but she has little money . So she sells her most important possession--her hair , and buys an elegant watch chain for Jim . On Christmas Day , Jim shows his gift for Della , Della opens the box and cries out in joy , only to burst into tears immediately afterward . Jim has given her the set of fancy combs she's wanted for ages , but only now she has no hair for them..Then she shows Jim the watch chain . Jim smiles , falling back on the couch . He sold his watch to buy Della's combs , he explains. He recommends they put away their presents and have dinner .

由学生自己总结要写出引人入胜的情节,需注意什么地方。

课堂练习:

Task 1 给出一些戏剧性故事的开头和结尾,让学生进行匹配

Task 2 给出一个故事的开头,让学生续写故事。

教学反思:

My students’ creative writings have really amazed me. To tell the truth, I seldom give them chances to write so freely in my daily English writing classes which are usually examination-oriented. I hope after this class ,they will find fun in reading and writing rather than consider it a burden . I should also be careful in my future teaching so as not to become the killer of their imagination.
